“OUR CHILDREN ARE OUR GREATEST NATURAL RESOURCE”
– HERBERT HOOVER

As a Canadian Special Forces Navy Bomb Disposal Diver with 2 tours overseas, I had an active 24 year career. Shortly after retiring in 2006, a mental meltdown ensued. Having time to reflect, research, and recover, I learned starting each day with the simple routine of sitting still and being quiet was the key…and it saved my life. Day by day, it quelled my anger, anxiety, apathy, depression and improved my mental faculties and daily performance. I know if this works for me, it can work for others, particularly for our Students and Staff during these challenging times. This 2 Minute HeadStart Breathwork program will help them deal with life’s rollercoaster by starting the school day with a calm mind and boosted brain. Please consider implementing the HeadStart Breathwork program into your schools’ daily routine for 2025…and watch the shift.

Thank you for your time, Brent Beshara

we will eliminate violence from the world within one generation.”

2 Minute HeadStart Breathwork Program for Students and Staff. The challenges students and staff face in school today are violence, anger, apathy, and anxiety, increased screen time, stress, depression, and difficulty focusing. They often come to school with a “busy mind“. Implementation of a schoolwide daily morning 2 minute HeadStart breathwork program will help create a calm, focused start to the day. This mental health morning moment will help foster a more empathetic and concentrated mindset, along with a more cohesive and resilient school system.

Why 2 minutes? This brief exercise maximizes effectiveness to a short attention span, and minimizes the disruption for staff and students.

Benefits of HeadStart:
– Improved focus and readiness: begin the day with a clear mind, leading to a better academic delivery, engagement, responses, and lengthened attention spans.
– Mindfulness for apathy: overcome apathy by reducing distraction, and reactivity, and increasing the ability to focus the mind.
– Empowerment through routine: a consistent daily routine will help them feel prepared, and build confidence and resilience.
– Ripple effect: they will be able to share these mental tools with their families and friends, creating less anxiety and more calmness in the household and in their relationships.
– Reduced anxiety and increased calm: lower stress and helps with emotional regulation and awareness.
– Build long-term habits: develop mindfulness as a lifelong skill.
– Promotes faster, settling of the class.
– Decreased anger and violence.
– Reduced days off school.
– Suicide reduction.
